The Academy is seeking to appoint a well-qualified, flexible and proactive individual to be part of our team of Study Coordinators, with responsibilities across both the main school libraries and the Sixth Form Study Centre.

This role involves the daily management of these key study environments, promoting a strong study ethic and providing academic administrative support. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring these spaces are well-organised, well-resourced, and used effectively by students and staff. They may also take a lead in supporting Sixth Form students with university applications, mentoring academic progress, and contributing to pastoral care and attendance, while helping to cultivate a culture of independent learning and academic ambition across the wider school community.

The successful candidate should be educated to degree level and must be computer literate (experience with Microsoft Excel is essential), extremely well organised, confident and able to both manage groups of students and empathise with their needs across all year groups. This role could suit recent graduates looking to gain experience in a school setting, or those with prior experience of working in education or with young people. The successful applicant will be part of both the Sixth Form Management Team and the wider Library study centres, contributing to the smooth and effective running of all Academy study spaces that support students in Years 7 to 13. A genuine belief in the potential of our students to achieve their ambitions, alongside a willingness to support and motivate them, is essential. Training and support will be provided to help the appointee develop their skills within the role.

Why Ashcroft Technology Academy?

  • A warm-strict environment with a highly visible and supportive Leadership Group.
  • Excellent facilities, well-resourced classrooms, and a genuine commitment to professional development.
  • The Academy was graded outstanding in 2021, and was graded Exceptional in 5 areas in 2025
  • One of the highest performing schools nationally, with a Progress 8 score of +1.34 (2024), ranking in the top 15 schools in the country.
  • A heavily oversubscribed and highly successful school and Sixth Form in a sought-after area of south-west London.
  • The highest performing Sixth Form in the Borough of Wandsworth for the past 12 years.
  • Conveniently located to the A3, East Putney tube station, and Putney mainline station for easy commuting. On-site parking for both cars and bicycles.

What we are looking for:

  • A strong commitment to supporting students within a study environment and a passion for helping them achieve their academic potential.
  • A proactive individual with the ability to create and maintain a productive, focused, and supportive study space, ensuring that students are engaged and motivated in their work.
  • An excellent communicator who can build positive relationships with students and staff, fostering an environment where both students and staff feel valued and supported.
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, working alongside colleagues across both the Sixth Form and main school libraries to deliver a high standard of academic support.
  • A responsible individual with strong organisational and time-management skills, able to balance multiple responsibilities efficiently, including supporting university admissions and providing mentorship to students.
  • A problem-solver with the ability to manage student behaviour and foster a quiet, focused environment conducive to study, while also addressing individual student needs.
  • Flexibility and adaptability with the initiative to support the evolving needs of both the Sixth Form and the wider school library, ensuring that all students benefit from a well-managed and accessible study space.
  • An individual with a genuine interest in young people's academic and personal growth, with a clear understanding of the role study spaces and libraries play in supporting their learning journey.

What We Offer:

  • A supportive and well-organised environment, where you will be encouraged to innovate and be able to work in a focussed environment without the distraction of low-level disruption.
  • Excellent behaviour systems that allow you to focus on your role and to build exceptional relationships with your students.
