Examination Invigilator

Line Manager:             Exams Manager

Session rate:               £12.50 p/h

Purpose: An Invigilator is responsible for maintaining the security of the question papers at all times and conducting exams in accordance to the Joint Council of Qualifications (JCQ) and International Baccalaureate (IB) regulations. Relevant training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure a calm environment in which the students have the best possible opportunity to be successful in their exams.
  • To help organise students at the start and end of each exam.
  • To help provide the correct information and material for successful completion of the exam.
  • To help ensure that the conduct of the exam takes place within the guidelines set down by JCQ and IB. (relevant documents will be supplied)
  • To be vigilant, whilst not disrupting the candidates.
  • To refer to the Exams Manager if it is suspected that malpractice is taking place.

Ashcroft Technology Academy (ATA) is looking to appoint replacement TLAs to support teaching provision for those students with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) or Special Educational Needs.

The postholders will provide flexible support to students with Education Health and Care Plans. Successful applicants will support a range of students in and out of the classroom, ensuring that learners with special needs have full access to the National Curriculum.

Applicants will be expected to have good literacy/numeracy skills and the ability to work as part of a team in a dynamic environment. They should possess excellent personal organisation and ICT skills and have the ability to liaise confidently with staff, parents/carers and external agencies in a commitment to raise student achievement. An ability to identify barriers to student learning and to develop ways of overcoming these is essential. The successful applicants will be confident in working with young people in a school environment and with students who may be in difficult circumstances.

All posts are 36½ hrs per week for 40 weeks per year although part time working may also be considered. Some flexibility in working hours will be required including supporting a few evening meetings during the academic year.

The Academy is judged to be an Outstanding school (Ofsted 2021); is heavily oversubscribed for places; achieves excellent examination results and maintains high standards of student behaviour.

Part-time Cleaning Staff

  • Morning (6.00-8.30am) or Evenings (5.00-7.00pm)
    £11.50 per hour

Ashcroft Technology Academy is seeking to recruit additional cleaning staff to join our existing team in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness in place at the Academy. Applicants should be self-motivated, flexible and take pride in their work.

As well as an excellent rate of pay, part time cleaning staff are employed across the entire year and are entitled to 22 days leave per annum rising to 25 in stages after 5 years’ service. Flexibility on when the hours are worked during term breaks is provided to suit individual requirements.  Term-time only applicants will be considered, as will the opportunity to work extended hours in the evening if required. Staff are also able to benefit from an annual attendance reward scheme.
